Charles MOREL is an Attorney-at-law. He is a member of the Paris bar. He has acquired extensive experience in the field of cyberspace and computer law, defamation law and criminal law, and divides his practice between counselling and litigation. Experience
Before establishing himself as a solo practitioner, Charles MOREL practiced as a lawyer with leading and highly specialized law firms, namely with the French law firm of Alain Bensoussan and with the English law firm of Bird & Bird. In both firms, he entirely supervised extensive computer projects and implemented data protection management procedures within large multinational companies. In 2000, Charles MOREL was awarded the « Secrétaire de la Conférence » prize by the Paris Bar, for his outstanding speech and eloquence qualities. As a former « Secrétaire de la Conférence », he now handles criminal court cases dealing with financial delinquency (i.e. money laundering, property offences), counterfeiting and intellectual property infringement, computer fraud and offences relating to data protection.

Charles MOREL has long been following and counselling firms that intervene in the field of new technologies. He also assists his clients in the definition and the implementation of their contractual policies, and handles the settlement of their disputes, in court or out-of-court. He takes an active part in legal lobbying activities at all levels of parliamentary discussion, as well as with the relevant administrations at the regulation level. He also supervises the development and follows the activities of computer services firms and software publishers.
